Data controller
JM Overseas, Rua José Maria Pedroto, 11, R/C, 4200-318 Porto, Portugal, is the controller of the personal data collected on this site. For any question about your data, write to jose.machado@jmoverseas.pt or geral@jmoverseas.pt.
What we collect
When you contact us through the forms, WhatsApp, email or phone: name, email, phone, country, subject, the amount you intend to invest (if you tell us) and your message.
We also keep technical data needed for the security of the site (for example, the IP address to limit abusive requests), for a short time.
Why we use it
To answer your request, present properties and investment opportunities that match what you look for, and advise you through to completion.
The legal basis is your consent, given in the form, and the pre-contractual steps you ask us to take. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while there is an active business relationship and then for the period required by law. If there is no contact for two years, the data is deleted or anonymised.
Who we share it with
We never sell personal data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database, hosted in the European Union), Netlify (site hosting), Resend (email delivery) and Zoho (email, in the European Union).
Some of these providers are based in the United States. In those cases the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your data may also be shared with the developer of the project you are interested in, only with your permission.
Your rights
You can ask to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data, and object to its processing, by writing to jose.machado@jmoverseas.pt. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
